Submission Procedures for Authors
Length and Format:
Articles should not exceed 6,000 words in length (not including quotations, notes, and references). All submissions go through a double-blind, peer review process except for book reviews.
Style:
MED generally follows the most recent edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. English spelling follows the most recent edition of the Canadian Oxford Dictionary. All texts should be saved in a Microsoft Word or Rich Text format and all images should be saved in a JPG format. Depending on space, MED reserves the right to select which images will be included. In submitting a manuscript, authors affirm that the research is original and unpublished, is not in press or under consideration elsewhere, and will not be submitted elsewhere while under consideration by MED. This applies to evidence or data, as well as form of argument.
Creative Works:
Creative works (musical compositions/arrangements, visual art, film, fictional narratives, etc.) may require a special submission protocol. Please contact the editor directly if you intend to submit a creative work.
Ethics Approval
Authors are responsible for obtaining ethical approval from their own institutional affiliation. Proof of ethics approval (if applicable) should be provided to the Journal.
Copyright:
MED will maintain the exclusive copyright of all published articles.
Submission Checklist:
(1) Please submit all articles for consideration as a Microsoft Word or Rich Text document to John L. Vitale (editor) at [email protected]
(2) Please ensure that your name does not appear anywhere in the document to ensure secure double blind review protocol.
